Fourth day’s schedule:

– SITUATION WITH OUTSTRECHED ARM (Oliver Zahn / HAUPTAKTION, Germany)
“SITUATION WITH OUTSTRETCHED ARM” deals with the (art-)history of a contaminated gesture: the saluto romano, the olympic salute, the Bellamy-salute, the German salute, the Hitler salute. This gesture –as a symbol that was invented in painting, popularized in theatre and again and again instrumentalized by nationalist movements– hovers constantly on the border of artistic and political action.
On this basis, the performance negotiates how we deal with the immaterial heritage of our collective pasts, the relation of power and staging as well as the choreographic disciplining of bodies. A duet for one performer and one voice, a study with foot notes on the politics of art and the art of politics.

– LAS COSAS SE MUEVEN PERO NO DICEN NADA (Poliana Lima, Madrid)
“LAS COSAS SE MUEVEN PERO NO DICEN NADA” is a choreography about the posibilities of motion and stillness. In an abstract way, the piece leans on the idea that everything in life is in a constant motion, that every alive beings move. For the simple fact of existing and moving, things are worth and beautiful. In that sense, the piece is an invitation to watch this movement and composition, without the strain to understand it in a logical way.
